About the Workshop

The Diehard Cowboy workshop is an exclusive content creation workshop at Sombrero Ranches. Immerse yourself in the art of storytelling through photo, video, and social media, guided by photographer, videographer, and owner of Diehard Productions, Chris Petersen. Step into the boots of a cowboy as we delve into daily shooting sessions amidst the rugged beauty of the Sombrero Ranches, Big Gulch Ranch, capturing the spirit of the Great American West. We will be shooting the excitement of wrangling a herd of horses, an iconic herd of Longhorn steers. You’ll also be able to capture the timeless craft of horse shoeing, work in the sorting pens, and more.

As the sun sets over the horizon, we’ll gather 'round the campfire for cowboy tales and live entertainment by Country Artist Chris Petersen. Photographers, videographers, and aspiring creatives alike, seize the opportunity to hone your craft in an unparalleled setting. 

Important Information​

 

The weather at the ranch is variable but mornings and evening will more than likely be cold. We could see anything from snow to 70 degree weather. Please pack accordingly. Warm clothing suitable for working in cold weather and possible snow as well as clothing for warmer weather. Some of my absolute best images and video have come from the ranch during a snow storm so we won't shy away from shooting in the snow and making the most of it. We will bring a stack of extra coats but please bring your own winter coats, boots, gloves.

Equipment to bring-

Please bring your preferred camera equipment whatever that may be. Tripods are recommended as well. Bring your computer and have Adobe Editing Software downloaded to your computer for stills we recommend Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop and for Video Adobe Premiere Pro
